I was lucky enough to own a Passat. The even luckier thing was how I realized my angels were trying to let me know how close they were and what they thought was good for me! Let me explain. It had a sunroof that worked fine for everyone but me. When I was in it, it would inexplicably open without me touching controls and the controls wouldnt close it. I could only close it after saying "Please angels, close it  or I am cold, thank you for letting me know you are there." And it would close. I even took it to the dealership and complained. It worked for them and not for me. One day this happened in front of my friend and when I said aloud my request and it shut, her eyes boggled out wide and she stared at me, I stared ahead driving calmly since I told her and knew she would be out of shock soon. Part of the issue was they wanted me to have more fresh air and be outside more, this was one way to do this at the time. Now I am outdoors more so they have no issues with this!
