In Bipolar illness, there is a great sensitivity to mood and people, the environment around you. It is a chemical imbalance that medication does help. If you are lucky enough to find the right medication with dosage, you are golden. Memorize it. It will come handy for the rest of your life. You can be both. A person with Bipolar illness is like any other, good and bad, strengths and weaknesses. So much depends on their background, attitude, motivation and habits. The course of your illness, problem and your life depends on this. Exercise, a regular schedule, good support system, and proper sleep have proven to be beneficial.
With Indigos with Bipolar, you need it all, exercise, yoga, tai chi, meditation, a regular exercise, good support system, journaling, spiritual activities that are meaningful to you, and honesty with knowing your stress limits. You are still a divine soul. We all are. No matter what illness doctors say you have, never fear to tell me what the past medical history is, it just gives me a picture of the past. It guides how I can best help in the future. I think no less of you. I feel this is so important to say because I am aware of the great stigma attached to mental illness, and I pray it changes and awareness/education grows/helps. The strength and love I see and feel among Indigos tell me they will prevail, no matter what. Love and blessings.
