I first heard of these from Sonia Choquette. She recommended exploring cards/tools to develop intuition.  Now that I explored this extensively, I  understand why she said that.  These 40 cards have medieval art and rely on symbols. Some cards are similar to the Major Arcana but there are new ones like yes, no, now and never. The groupings are fundamentals, seven archetypes, seven symbols, seven characters and seven happenings. The cards may be used as as any card deck, either as a game, or as a serious tool for questions.
Jung placed great importance on symbols and archetypes and argued we make sense of our world through them, which is true. People use symbols for marketing to make a point, express a viewpoint or themselves. Dreams communicate powerfully though symbols. How many times has your friend said to you "well that meant to me..... for sure."? I rest my case.

This wonderful spiritual classic is a journal of an Indian yogi/spiritual master/ascended master about his spiritual path. He describes his childhood, his trials, triumphs and miracles witnessed and heard. Parahamsa Yogananda is from Calcutta, where both my parents are from, so I can relate to the town, the attitude, ambiance and stories written by him. You meet his guru, Swami Yukteshwar Giri and the one and only Babaji.
Yogananda is a prolific writer writing books to educate the masses about his movement Self Realization Fellowship and the path to God.  This book is an excellent introduction to that spiritual path.
I laughed when I heard certain Caucasian people didn't believe the stories. You have not been to India is my response. The land where God is alive and you can not forget him/her any minute of the day. Everywhere you look is a statue/painting of a God/Goddess and a shrine/altar to go with it.

In California, there is a huge movement to be holistic, which unfortunately has included in this gamut to mean that you are violently opposed to medication.
I am here to dispel this notion. I am spiritual and holistic. Yet I see everyday with my own eyes, the miracle of medicine. How it restores people's lives medically and psychiologically. I have run into many people in my personal and professional life who adamantly relay stories of side effects. Yes there are.
There is also poor judgment, alcoholism, drug use done to self medicate, mania and suicidality, incoherent and illogical thinking. Which do you prefer? If you get stabilized, please memorize what medicine and dosage and combination of medications work for you. It is like Gold for your doctor. If you go off medications and decompensate, the right combination will stabilize you quickly. So paying attention helps you. Going off and on medication makes it harder for the medicine to work for you in the long run. It may take longer to stabilize you and maintain your health. So taking your medicine in the long term, saves you and your family some real grief. I have seen this firsthand with my clients.
If some people do not handle the medicine well, that is one issue. But to not give it a chance is a disservice to you and your body. I believe medicine and the right combination is a blessing. I have met people whom no medicine could help, that is true peril. People exaggerate and complain for nothing in my opinion and do not know true pain. That is true pain.

Ted Kennedy's death marked the end of the Kennedy legacy of the three brothers determined to make a difference in the lives of Americans with their progressive beliefs. They fought tirelessly for women, minorities, equality, fairness in government and their influence will be missed immensely. Ted Kennedy passed laws on civil rights, mental health benefits, immigration, cancer research, health care, apartheid, disability discrimination, Aids care, education, volunteering,education and children's health care.
I loved Ted Kennedy and his work, and the philanthropic work of the Kennedy's in general. Our princes of justice are gone, John, Robert and now Ted ;and we are mourning. America lost a hero this week and I extend my condolences to his family and friends. It will be interesting to see how Washington politics change as a result of this unexpected change in the dynamic of their system.

I went to the gem fair today and received exactly what I needed from the universe! Amazing! Serpentine, rose quartz, fluorite, amethyst and honey calcite. Serpentine protects against negativity, clears chakras, and the protects the heart chakra. I did not know this when I was drawn to the piece.

I have like so many of you, several soulmates. Each one came into my life at different times for varying lessons. One in particular story I will share, as it shocks me but is most enlightening. I was warned by my angels to be cautious with this man. I was never warned about any others. Needless to say, I heeded their words but did not realize what they were protecting me from until I had a argument with this man. In it, his lack of commitment, callousness towards women and belief that women were beneath him came through. I was surprised as I know for a fact this man treasures the relationship he has with my family and me -so why do this to me? Stil, people are human and make mistakes. This experience highlighted my trust in the value of  angel guidance.

I have seen/met with many people that they meet their soul mates and things do not work out. Discouraged? Don't be. At times, some of these people are undergoing personal transformation and need that in order to have compassion, maturity, openness to love, and trust in the divine. That could be one of the needed ingredients in making your love last into a divine commitment. Have faith and hope that the universe is bringing you something beautiful and transformed. Remember that as you develop and grow, your vibration changes, bringing in you new people, new energy, and new love.

Caroline Myss has a wonderful book Soul contracts where she discusses archetypes. Archetypes are just that, roles that we each play as we enact our soul contracts with one another as we learn our lessons. She states we have 12 and has created a deck for this. I find it useful if you are puzzled by your recent behavior to draw 12 cards and ask yourself why am I doing this now? I feel all humans are everchanging beings of energy so you never really are the same person from one year to the next.
 If you get Child, are you feeling the need to be childish/ How does it serve you now, in this instance? Or the Queen,. I know you are regal, we all are, andt everyone has the special precious quality in them. It is ok for you to expect the best, Just remember to extend the best to everyone in your path. See what I am getting at?
The deck has a way of letting you see what you are not seeing about your self. You can make a list of the roles you believe you are and see how they are interacting with you and others around you. Examining them only promotes harmony and understanding.
