This gutsy show is about how a body language expert helps law enforcement solve crime. I love the idea of the show. Tim Roth is scary at times with his facial expression. According to their website, 44% of people think it is ok to exaggerate a story to make it more interesting. My comment: How sad it is that people don't realize that they and their lives are interesting, they matter a great deal and no extras are needed. It is precisely this behavior that makes us question the honest, good, accurate telling people we meet. That drives me nuts.

Positive affirmations work wonders and due to the unprecedented success of The Secret, the Law of attraction has received much attention. If you are not doing affirmations, I highly recommend you try them. I have seen in my practice the stark difference between the people who use them and people who don't. The people who use them come in with amazing stories of change and new possibilities for themselves. The people who don't seem stuck in their circumstances.
Doreen Virtue PhD noted in her recent blog, that the economy has more to do with people's mindsets and expectations than politics. A simple affirmation such as "Everyone is rich. I am rich. Abundance surrounds me now".- can help You can affirm any quality you want to create in your life. Imagination is key.
Love, happiness, success, relationships, health, harmony, peace and joy are influenced by your thinking, especially your automatic thoughts. If you notice you are a negative thinker, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a wonderful tool to combat and eliminate your negative thought patterns and set optimistic, realistic ones instead.

This last week, I heard of 7 deaths. Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett were two of the deaths. The other 5 were people I knew or in my community. It drove home a point for me. As someone who listens to people's pain and inner thoughts and feelings, I realized something. The impact one person can have on many people is staggering. Many people are in this world, but never forget, you may be the world to one person. Who that person is may not be obvious, but the significance is still there and counts. So while I wish Happy Birthday to America on July 4th, I wish a sad good bye for now to the ones who left us this week. May you find peace and know you are not forgotten.
I also noted that those who had a strong perspective on life, death and their relationship to God or spirit dealt with the loss differently. They had answers to painful questions due to their searching for meaning prior to this event. People who do not give time to think about how they feel about these issues are at a loss when a tragedy strikes and often they find where they really stand on issues in the moment.  That takes some adjusting to as well. So you get used to the loss of a loved one and  the new rules you have for yourself and your life.
